Libya ceasefire agreement imminent but doubts on long term trust and sustainability

The 5/5 Joint Military Commission talks in Geneva is said to culminate in a ceasefire agreement across Libya within 24 hours.

The pretext of the accord tomorrow is that Misrata Muslim Brotherhood members must announce it will cease to exist further.

Critics say that even if Misrata agrees on this, it would be the same offices, same people. The modus operandi is understood to be the same with no real change.

Turkey approved the strategy for the Misrata Muslim brotherhood disbandment announcement as a statement only to satisfy a pretext demanded by the LNA and Egypt.

Turkey wants to avoid further EU sanctions that would tip the Turkish socio-economic scale over the cliff.
